It is near impossible to describe what it's like to be adopted to someone that has not experienced it. It's a very lonely island of one, no matter how many siblings or relatives you have surrounding you from your adopted family. I really relate to Christy saying, "I felt like my life kind of started in a way" when she heard from you. I understand her, her wild behavior & rebelling. When I figured out where I came from and saw people that looked like me, things seemed to become easier, brighter, and I became a lot more laid back. That piece of the puzzle being found for us completes the picture & allows us to lay down the invisible weight that we have carried around (usually not even realizing it) our whole lives. Thank you for sharing this!

This took me in a direction I wasn't expecting (as I'm sure it did you). Thank you.
Thank you. And yes, not a direction I'd anticipated!
