Lovely piece, as usual. I too am a fervent fan of John McWhorter (and Glenn Loury too). He did an interview with UnHerd recently where he said that people in the woke religion are basically unreachable and there is no conversation to be had with them; you can't persuade someone out of their religion. He's right, but it's remarkable that even a liberal thinks that the far-left are too far gone.
