I still can't let go of what I thought was an implicit bargain in 2020: Biden will run and then the Dems will prep a successor for 2024. Even as far back as the 2022 midterms I thought Biden wasn't going to run for re-election. Maybe Harris' unpopularity changed the outlook.

This morning I'm fuming over a Slate Political Podcast episode earlier this year where the three hosts said Biden is fine and the age issue is being manufactured by a bored mainstream media.

I'm convinced it was an ambush. They knew it would be bad and that's the primary reason they did the debate this early. Newsome couldn't contain himself afterward. He knows what's coming

Ms. Rommelmann evidently believes President Biden has dementia, but Lordy, she sure went about saying so without actually saying so in a most roundabout way.

Also, this is presidential politics and Biden is a presidential candidate, not some obscure family's obscure grandfather. I want the people who are running the Democratic Party's presidential race to be laser focused on just one thing: winning. If that means sidelining Biden without sending flowers and a nice card, so be it. That's what Dr. Jill Biden and Hunter are for.
