The Ones We Sent Away
No post today but an alert to “The Ones We Sent Away,” by Jennifer Senior, which posted yesterday in The Atlantic. I don’t recall ever being as rocked by an article as I am by this one. Read it, as well as Senior’s other work, including 2021’s “What Bobby McIlvaine Left Behind,” which won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing and the 2022 National Magazine Award for Feature Writing.
Oh my god, this has me weeping. Oh god.
It was my last free Atlantic article so I was able to save it as a pdf ... now I just have to print out 68 pages to read it :-)
