The Center Holds
Bye LA, you done good... and some thoughts on people who would have you believe otherwise
Good morning from the Delta Lounge, where instead of spending a nice 90 minutes with a coffee and the edits to the latest Reason piece, I will be there three additional hours. Has anyone experienced delays on every flight for the past two months or so? Let me know in the comments.
And speaking of: thank you to all you new paid subscribers! I’m freelance and your support let’s me get where I’m going to and to report. Seriously, so appreciated.
While I liked doing the livestreams for you from the protests, I cannot say I really like the feed; very choppy. I’ll likely stream from Twitter (alright, X) in the future, maybe covering the upcoming mayoral race in New York City. If someone had told me I might in my lifetime consider voting to Andrew Cuomo, I would’ve replied they were out of their ever lovin’ mind. And then someone worse comes along, actually, several people.
I’ll be writing up a bird’s eye piece on the week of protests in LA. Until then, you can check out the previous pieces at Reason. Suffice to say, I am pretty proud of my former city, more on that TK.
Until then, let’s roll some videotape! (You know I was at the Kristi Noem/Alex Padilla punchdown, right?) Oh, and the people who call protesters “open-border insurrectionists”? Gonna get to them, too.
