I don’t do a lot of cross-posting with Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em (Editor: Really? Seems like a lot…) but seeing as we are now on YouTube - where I somehow got rooked into promising a scantily-clad bonus if we hit 500 YT subscribers - I’m running the chunky video preview here. It’s a good debate!
Look- I’ve been married for 20 years and I’m turning 45 years old in a couple of months, so maybe I can’t comment too much… but the amount of casual sexism and misandry I see on a daily basis makes me feel sorry for most men out there- especially single, working class men. Could you imagine in the 6 ft, 6 figures meme was a similar song by a man in 2025?! I work on a profession that is 80% women and one of our neighboring orgs only hired their first male employee AFTER COVID! What is a guy supposed to do? Every male elementary teacher is accused of pedophilia, are told women would rather share a hiking trail with a grizzly than with them, and constantly get told about the wage gap and other privileges they don’t actually benefit from.
Mutual consent to intercourse when mutually inebriated is defacto rape- but only for the man. Lots more stuff.
I, personally, have been told I wasn’t considered for a promotion because I’m a white man… twice. I mean, it’s tough all over out there and I’m married and affluence. I can’t imagine being single and middle or lower middle class.
Anyway- I only comment because… it’s silly to lump half the population into one bucket because of their sex, right?
