72 Hours, But Who's Counting?

My friend Jeff Miller, who has for my money the best sushi restaurant in New York City, has a habit I quite like, that of texting about once a month, “‘Sup girl?” This month, the texting included his mentioning that “Moynihan on Triggernometry is so good” - which I haven’t listened to yet but will this morning, seeing as it’s about “the most important election in history,” which has become a gag line these past three elections or so, and probably longer than that, but let’s wait for a bit to talk about the media’s sense of its own self-importance.
About said election, Jeff also said, “The fun never stops,” to which I responded, “Oh please make it stop or make it fun.” The first takes care of itself*, with the election in 72 hours, the second, we might be able to help with…
*“You all better bring sleeping bags, you’re going to be there a week,” commented a friend, knowing that most of us will be packed into a loft with various recording spaces on election night. Come hang out, live on YouTube and X and various other streams. I’ll be on with FP about the time people are chewing their pillows later in the evening and earlier have invited a surprise guest some of you will be like, “What?! Wow…”
